Job Description Summary
As a member of C&C Team, you will be responsible to ensure interface approach in all areas between Construction Activities ( both Erection & Commissioning) and Engineering for material / warehouse management. Lead a team for materials management & T&P management for all execution site. Also defining & controlling budget for warehouse, T&P & P&M management
Job Description Your Role: - Store and T&P Management Engineer has the responsibility to make Coordination with all participants to deploy and harmonize GE material management procedure: align all procedure for material management specially for storage, transportation, material hand-over to erection subcontractors, follow-up of missing/damage parts, preservation during storage. Said procedures shall be based on GE Standard procedure and local requirement. Also, shall be responsible For Site Infra Finalization & Audits- warehouse, P&M and T&P Utilization, T&P Monitoring & Control process implantation
- Implementation of the GE EHS policy within the operational scope of material handling management, including all established safety procedures, work instructions, guidelines and local laws/regulations and informing employees
- Team annual assessment for performance feedback
- Make suggestion to the improvement of processes and tools, Capture REX
- Define & implementation of guideline for control and management of all materials from arrival at site to handover to erection / commissioning or other parties
- Implementation of necessary site material handling infrastructure- Define & implementation Material and Laydown area management, Coordination on material movement, covered storage+ Site Infra+ material security control on lay down.
- Ensure all contractors within the material management scope are in compliance with the EHS requirements at site
- Ensure implementation of MTA for warehouse management i.e. Correct use and update of MTA software - register and record the materials on site through software
- Support warehouse managers with resolution of any disruptions or abnormalities related to materials.
- Establish material delivery procedure, schedule & interface, storage, handover of spare part.
- Daily logs/ report for Material reception, return receipt, damage receipt, non-availability of EFU -28 day prior to equipment dispatch, Material discrepancy /missing / mismatch with respect to EFU, packing list & actual receipt, Cannibalization report, Material damage report, reconciliation report, subsequent claims or disputes etc.
- Guidance to the team to perform or organize Positive Material Identification in case of doubt on material certificate, material identification especially on piping.
- Implement crane control / make sure equipment and lifting device are tested / certified before use
- Establish P&M Utilization efficiency across various execution site
- Establish T&P Requirement Assessment
- Establish T&P Requirement Assessment, T&P Monitoring & Control including T&P Condition Monitoring, Repairs & Replacement guideline across execution site
- Implement crane control / make sure equipment and lifting device are tested / certified before use.
- Ensure P&M and T&P Budget including PO
- Provide training to MHM for following for warehouse management covering -General overview of MTA process- defining all material tracking phase Understanding of Equipment follow up list & know how of material tracking from MTA- defining all stages of shipment i.e. pre-shipment inspection, packing list creation, site confirm, store location, material reception, Material return, material forecast, Identity damage material/ any discrepancy with respect to packing list & actual supply etc.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor in Engineering appropriate to the technical activity involved
- Certified certification /MBA in warehouse management
Desired Qualifications (Nice To Have)- Appropriate 7-10 experience in power plant warehouse management at construction site of Capacity 500 MW and above,
- Knowledge of SAP module for material management including PR & PO creation
- Orderly handling and presentation of information.
- Material shipment phase understanding right from engineering to delivery at site.
- Excellent management skills
- Excellent capabilities in the explanation of complex technical and working processes
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good proficiency in English
