The company founded in 2019.Currently it has offices in Ahmedabad (HQ), and Mumbai.The company operates in the Sports & Entertainment and the Data Science industries and is currently working on the development of their Fantasy Football Platform: .Despite being in the Sports & Entertainment industry, the company's primary area of interest is Football (Soccer). Their aim is to become the primary go-to platform for all things Football. It is a Fantasy Sports and Real Money Gaming platform with over 1 million users. and has since gone on to bring Sunil Chhetri on board as the brand ambassador! As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leveraging data to uncover insights, develop predictive models, and drive data-driven decision-making to enhance our users' fantasy sports experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and analysts, to develop innovative solutions that optimize player selection, team performance, and user engagement. Responsibilities: 1. Data Exploration and Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis on large datasets from various sources, including player performance data, historical game results, user behavior data, and external data feeds. Identify patterns, trends, and correlations to generate actionable insights. 2. Model Development: Design and implement predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical techniques to forecast player performance, simulate game outcomes, and provide personalized recommendations to fantasy sports users. Develop robust methodologies for evaluating model performance and iterate on models to improve accuracy and effectiveness. 3. Feature Engineering: Collaborate with engineers and data engineers to define and create relevant features from raw data sources. Extract meaningful features that capture player attributes, team dynamics, and contextual factors that influence fantasy sports outcomes. 4. Data Visualization: Communicate complex data insights and model outputs effectively through visualizations and reports. Create intuitive and visually appealing dashboards to enable stakeholders to interpret and act upon the information derived from data analysis and modeling. 5. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with product managers, analysts, and engineers to translate business requirements into actionable data science projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, develop hypotheses, and deliver data-driven solutions that improve the fantasy sports experience. 6. Performance Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented models and algorithms. Monitor and analyze model performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary enhancements. 7. Stay Updated: Stay abreast of the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in data science, machine learning, and the fantasy sports industry. Apply new methodologies and technologies to enhance the overall data science capabilities within the organization. Requirements: 1. A strong academic background in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field. A master's or Ph.D. degree is preferred. 2. Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in the sports analytics or fantasy sports domain. 3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning. 4. Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques. 5. Experience working with large datasets and data preprocessing techniques. 6. Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., AWS, Azure, Hadoop, Spark) is a plus. 7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches. 8. Excellent communication skills to present complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 9.
