Position: Senior Manager Accounts and Finance

Senior Accountant with Legal experience – Reports to Director/CEO

As a senior Accounts and finance manager you will be a vital member of accounts and finance team. Responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and providing legal insights to support strategic decision making. Your role will involve overseeing financial operations, setting up budget and track actual in terms of department wise targets., monitoring cost i.e. collaborating with cross functional team to ensure the organization' s financials and legal objectives are met.

1.Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and potential areas of improvement.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide insights into financial implications of business decisions and strategies.
• Collaborate with senior management to align financial and legal goals with overall business objectives.

2.Budgeting and Forecasting

• Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, considering commercial factors.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and communicate discrepancies to management.
• Prepare perioding MIS and Reporting System

3.Legal Support:

• Provide legal expertise on financial matters, including contract negotiations, financial agreements, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with the legal team to draft and review financial contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Assist in resolving legal disputes and issues related to financial transactions.

4.Internal Audit and Controls

• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal control processes.

5.Cost Management:

• Monitor and track production cost and overheads very closely
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within the commercial operations.
• Monitor and control expenses related to commercial activities.

Qualification and Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential.

• Additional legal qualification (such as LLB or equivalent) is preferred.

Manufacturing experience is a must

• Proven experience in a senior finance/accounts role with exposure to legal aspects of finance.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and legal requirements.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 software.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Leadership experience and ability to manage and mentor a team.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Adaptability to changing regulations and business requirements
