Overview:
The PHP Developer plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining web applications that meet the needs of the organization. They are responsible for writing clean secure and efficient PHP code while ensuring high performance and availability of applications. This role is essential in contributing to the entire software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test and maintain robust and scalable PHPbased web applications
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define design and ship new features
- Write clean welldesigned code following industry best practices
- Create and maintain databases to support business applications
- Troubleshoot test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle focusing on coding and debugging
- Conduct performance tuning improvement balancing usability and automation
- Integrate data storage solutions
- Stay updated with emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
- Collaborate with a team of developers designers and system administrators to identify new features
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Document code concepts business logic and project requirements
- Follow industry best practices
- Contribute to the architecture design and implementation of software
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- Proven work experience as a PHP Developer
- Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML CSS JavaScript AJAX etc.
- Strong database management and SQL skills
- Experience in common thirdparty APIs (Google Facebook eBay etc.)
- Understanding of opensource projects like Joomla Drupal Wikis osCommerce etc.
- Experience with an MVC framework
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling partial page updates and AJAX
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Understanding of software development best practices
