Job description
People Management
Establish clear and measurable goals that drive continuous improvement using financial and quantitative data.
Define key metrics for Inventory management, sourcing organization effectiveness and implement daily management.
Manage resources, productivity and turnover.
Developing team members through training and mentoring
Operational
Driving the workstream towards achievement of qualitative quantitative goals set by the organization.
Standard costing, Calculation of cost of goods sold, Variance analysis.
Organizing data for Material Management System
Building reporting for sites
Excess and Obsolete (EO) analysis
Performing detailed analysis for site GSM
Master data management
Supplier performance analysis
Facilitating proactive issues and risk identification and resolution
Continuous improvement/Best Practices
Establish Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) for Cost and inventory accounting processes; such SOPs document any business specific needs and define the interactions between stakeholders.
Periodic evaluation of operating effectiveness of the controls built by management. Also evaluate the need for change in existing controls in line with any change in policies and procedures
Business Partnering/Communication
Establishing and maintaining effective communication with team leads/OpCo controllers.
Working and partnering with the diverse and cross functional team
Basic Qualifications:
CA/CMA with minimum 8 + years of experience in Finance management.
Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals/US GAAP
Good communication and comfortable building partnerships in our global matrixed organization, working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
Experience leading a team and working with multiple Opcos.
Exposed to cost inventory accounting and understand how the upstream and downstream activities impact the processes.
Proficiency in accounting ERPs like SAP/JDE.
Strong Analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in business analytics
Competent in building Power BI reports, creating interface between ERP and BI reports for auto updates, and publishing reports from Power BI to SharePoint and other shared spaces.
