Crane India has an opportunity for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at our Design Centre, Baner, Pune.
Position Summary: Detail oriented individual responsible to carry out design activities of NPD, VAVE and Sustaining Engineering projects with minimal supervision. Typical engineering tasks include preparing and creating best practices for development of embedded systems, embedded devices, C/ C++ programming, SDLC. Work on Continuous improvement initiatives along with Engineering teams. Responsible for defining and creating engineering documents – SW design document, Flowcharts/ Algorithm, Software validation plans. Take ownership of assigned engineering task and ensure high quality and timely completion. Primary Roles & Responsibilities: Responsible to algorithm and develop efficient, reliable and innovative solutions for new and existing designs independently. Develop best practices for Embedded systems/ devices, C /C++ programming Create software Flow charts/ Algorithm for design blocks/ modules Perform debugging , testing of developed program on prototypes Analyse Design failure modes and work on corrective actions for each component in the product Convert customers specification into engineering requirements by collaboratively working with Engineering Prepare and participate design reviews with cross functional stakeholders Essential Qualifications & Experience: Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & communication/ Computer Sc. Engineering Degree from reputed engineering college with minimum 5-6 years' experience in R&D/ engineering preferably in Valve monitoring & control instruments, positioners, oil & Gas and Industrial domain Hands on experience in Arm microcontrollers (STM32 series, Microchip, Renesas), interfacing, Debugging tools (IDEs)- ATMEL studio, MPLAB, IAR, ST cube, Communication protocols ( HART, Fieldbus, Ethernet, Asi, Device Net, IO Link, Modbus, One-wire interface, Bluetooth, CAN) Proficient in design calculations, DFMA and DFMEA Hands on experience in Embedded C/C++, RTOS, Bootloader development Hands on experience on serial protocols - RS232, RS485, UART, I2C, SPI Good understanding of smart products (IIOT), sensors – magnet sensor, solenoids Good understanding of Software development for EMI/EMC protection, SIL systems, hazardous locations approvals Demonstrated experience in generating new ideas and discover opportunities for incremental product design innovations Experience in project co-ordination with cross functional teams, co-located or remote Self-starter who takes initiatives without requiring follow through from the Supervisor Effective verbal and written communication skills.
