Now Honeywell Smart Energy and Thermal Solutions (SETS) VECE is offering opportunities for Engineering Supervisor
Responsibilities:
This position provides an exciting opportunity to advance your Engineering and Engineering Services career within one of the Honeywell’s most profitable and dynamic Business units. This Engineering Supervisor role is responsible for driving and supporting projects that focuses on product life cycle management to include obsolescence, cost reductions, and design for supply chain resiliency actions.The position is in Honeywell’s SETS portfolio for Electricity, Gas, Water and Thermal metering, etc.The role requires an entrepreneurial approach to apply both hardware and mechanical expertise in a global environment while coordinating with cross functional team in design centers, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to generate and implement cost saving.Key tasks include:
Responsibilities will include:
· Develop smart device product & platform and communicate with global team
· Take active part in Value Engineering, Component Engineering & Business alignment events with suppliers, including requirement analysis, feasibility study, detail design, testing and debugging
· identifying product cost savings opportunities through vendor change of used electronic & mechanical components as well through electronic circuit design & mechanical system design changes.
· Leading projects that implement these changes, collaborate with the design teams and ISC (integrated supply chain)
· Preparing test plans, performing or coordinate tests of the components and final products in the laboratory, and prepare test reports
· Implementing the change in the mass production factory
· Manage multidisciplinary global teams & projects
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor with 7+ years on Automatic, Electrical Engineering or Communication, Instrument engineering, Mechanical Engineering
· At least 7-years solid experience HW/ME product designing.Experience using Mentor Graphis tool or CAD Softwates .
· Proven experience managing people and projects (As Project Engineer)
· Ability to Manage multiple projects and resources assignation
· Ability to work in any of the VE CE life cycle as in Ideation, Evaluation, Execution & Implementation stages of the ideas & projects.
· Responsible and accountable for all Value & Component engineering projects and their implementation through collaborative effort with Engineering teams.
· Technology leading experience on product development from initial definition to mass production.
· Industry level or automotive level products design, test, certification experience is preferred.
· Experience on ODM/OEM/JDM implementation is preferred.
· Understand agile software development spirit; Experience in agile software development is plus.
· Good English communication skill is necessary.
· Good team spirit.
· Open mind and fast learning.
· Team player with passion and zeal to do whatever it takes for business success with a keen sense of urgency and strong drive
· Excellent communication skills with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive team results
· Green Belt Six Sigma Certified/ As a plus Black Belt Six Sigma Certified
· Project Management Courses (not certification required)
