Job description
- As a Data Assurance Analyst, you will drive monitoring and remediation operations for unstructured data scanning, classification, and remediation utilizing data loss prevention (DLP) and other scanning solutions/tools.
- This includes analyzing alerts and related information, finding correlating data points, and determining the appropriate path moving forward for one of the world s largest networks.
- In partnership with senior engineers and analysts, you will develop and maintain standard operating procedures and processes for the team.
- You will also collaborate closely with the other Data Assurance sections, InfoSec teams, Infrastructure, Data Governance, Privacy and business areas to align with security, data, and privacy frameworks, initiatives, and policies.
- You ll collaborate with a variety of internal business partners to ensure risks are mitigated and processes are improved.
- You ll build an understanding of security threats, data classification, and DLP ensuring coverage and detection exists across multiple layers of technology to improve the overall cybersecurity defense posture.
What youll bring:
- B.E./B.Tech/M.S./M.Tech/MCA/ with around 5 to 8 years of experience in Information Security.
- Proven analytical experience working with datasets, finding insights, and telling stories using data.
- Experience reviewing and building standard operating procedures and processes.
- Able to communicate clearly across all mediums.
- Experience with information technology and/or cybersecurity along with a security mindset.
- Have experience working cross-functionally across teams.
- Hands on experienced required on tools like Proofpoint etc.
- Self-motivated, able to raise innovative ideas, and possess a heightened sense of urgency.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to troubleshoot problems or issues to understand root causes.
- Experience in Insider threat investigations, reporting, investigative tools, and laws/regulations; Cybersecurity and privacy principles; Cyber threats and vulnerabilities; Encryption algorithms; DLP tools and practices; Incident response methodologies; PII, PCI, and PHI data security standards; Data mining techniques To triage, investigate, and respond to DLP policy violations.
- Verifies the validity, context, and severity of DLP policy violations. Coordinates or directly applies countermeasures against systems and user accounts involved in DLP incidents.
- Analyzes DLP events and identifies trends. Actively provides insights to the engineering and user behavior teams.
- Bachelor s/Master s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, and 6 years experience in information technology or cyber security or related field within the last 6 years.
- Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, CISSP, or CCSP is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications... Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, CISSP, or CCSP., Master s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area.
