About the Role
The CCM function at Kagool is growing. You will be joining a small, high-performing team that has successfully managed the rapid growth Kagool has enjoyed over the last ten years. As a Junior Contracts Manager, you will be working closely with an existing Junior Commercial Manager and Contract Manager, answerable to the company Head of Commercials, supporting with initial contract management duties and composition, end-to-end contract lifecycle management (including stakeholder support), contact change support and internal support.
You will frequently engage with internal stakeholders, and where required sometimes support vendor and procurement activities and external Commercial Management requirements, such as contract reviews.

Key functional skills
- Autonomy and Understanding: With input, demonstrate the ability to implement contract terms needed to cover a common situation with unique requirements, risks and performance or compliance requirements.
- Effective communication: prepare and deliver clear, concise and coherent verbal and written communications to organizational stakeholders, senior management, suppliers and others.
- Fluency in legalese: the ability to read, understand, translate and occasionally write in the language of contracts.
- Project management: plan, arrange and manage the Contract Lifecycle workload in a disciplined and organized way using project management principles via a contract management plan – carry with you an understanding of Kagool contracts 'from Cradle to Grave.'
- Risk management: learn how we approach risk in terms of policies, practices and any internal guidelines, identify and estimate the likelihood and impact of contract-related risk with the ability to report on it, and establish mitigation methods, and track the ongoing relevance and effectiveness of those mitigations
- Stakeholder engagement: work with, influence and rely on people from many different business functions with different agendas, establish common goals, reach a consensus about what needs to be done and why, foster a sense of team membership and inclusivity, and reduce wasted time.
Critical knowledge
- Contract lifecycle management: a general understanding of end-to-end CLM, its stages and common activities, and the individual steps in each activity using Kagool technology.
- Contract types and terminology: familiarity with the kinds of terminology and clauses commonly encountered in our organization's usual contract types.
- Performance measurement: understanding of methods available for measuring contract performance in several areas and how to interpret the numbers.
- The regulatory environment: familiarity with the main regulatory topics applicable to your business under the governing law agreed to in at least each key contract.
- Understanding our business: what it does and where, the current business environment, strategic suppliers / customers and the most critical contracts.
- Our policies and practices: covering staff behavior, general procurement, CLM decision rights and delegated authority levels.

Required
- 3-4 years of experience in Commercials and Contracts Management (IT experience preferrable).
