About the Role:

Associate Editor, Agriculture

The rice team assesses prices for and reports on all the major Asian origin markets, including Thailand, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.

The rice team contains price reporters in London and Gurgaon who work closely together to produce daily, weekly and monthly publications.

Excellent career growth potential within the Agriculture team, which works across the grains, oilseeds, biofuels, rice and sugar space. Opportunities to learn more about other aspects of the business, including technology and editing. Opportunities to travel domestically and internationally for industry events and conferences several times a year, where you may have the chance to represent S&P Global Commodity Insights as a speaker. You will also have the chance to represent CI in face-to-face meetings, in webinars, podcasts, or other interviews.

You will assist in identifying, developing, and executing assessment opportunities to drive growth in the Asian rice market.

The Business: S&P Global CI is the world's leading price reporting agency (PRA) and a premier source of commodities intelligence. It provides the market with numerous benchmark price assessments that are used in commodity contracts across the world. The content you generate and the relationships you build are essential to the energy, agricultural, metals and petrochemicals markets.

Day timings: Covering the rice market would involve starting work at 11am, and finishing the day at 8pm.

Responsibilities: The Associate Editor is responsible for every aspect of price reporting. This includes talking to market participants from all over the world in a highly international-facing role to collect market and pricing information. They must research and write news articles and analysis on major market events. They must publish price assessments and commentary about the market and contribute to methodology development.
