Online Advertising is one of the fastest growing businesses on the Internet today, with about 50% of advertising market already online. Search engines, web publishers, major ad networks, and ad exchanges are now serving billions of ad impressions per day and generating terabytes of user events data every day. The rapid growth of online advertising has created enormous opportunities as well as technical challenges that demand computationally intelligence and scalable algorithms. Eventually Computational Advertising has emerged as a new interdisciplinary field that involves information retrieval, data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling, optimization, linear algebra, and micro-economics, to solve challenging problems that arise in online advertising.
We are a team with a strong Live Site First mindset and passionate about monitoring and protecting the health of the Bing Ads marketplace ecosystem. We deal with big data spanning across advertisers, publishers, system components and users to connect the dots across seemingly unrelated anomalies for investigating, identifying, and resolving issues impacting the marketplace.
The ideal candidate should be self-directed, tenacious, have a strong service and business operations mindset, have exposure to livesite handling, be passionate about data and what it represents, and focused on delivering impact with a growth hacking mindset, finding ways to think out of the box when faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges. The candidate should be able to dissect business problems, formulate precise questions, and then map the questions into data science problems. The candidate should also be an effective communicator, capable of delivering insights in a concise and consumable manner to all kinds of audiences. This role is based in Bangalore, India.
