Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Yard Assistant to join our team. The Yard Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the organization and management of our yard operations. This role requires a highly organized individual with the ability to multitask and adapt to the dynamic needs of the yard environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the yard is neat clean and organized. Conduct regular checks and maintenance of the yard area.
Keep track of inventory and equipment in the yard. Assist in the receipt storage and dispatch of materials and tools.
Safely operate and maintain yard equipment and tools including forklifts pallet jacks and other machinery.
Assist in the loading and unloading of goods and materials. Ensure proper handling to avoid damage.
Adhere to all company safety policies and regulations. Report any safety hazards or incidents in the yard.
Maintain accurate records of inventory equipment maintenance and yard activities.
Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth yard operations. Provide support to other departments as needed.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment is preferred.
