As a Senior Full Stack Developer at Ideagen, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. You will build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design. You define system functionality and work across the stack in a variety of languages.

You are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary planning, defining requirements, designing, and prototyping, building, documenting, testing, and deploying.

Finally, you contribute thoughts positively within the development team and demonstrate an enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude.

• Implement new features in the Ideagen stack:
  • Typescript in a React front end
  • Elixir in the application server
  • Typescript and Python in data processing workers
  • Integrate with 3rd party services including AI services
• Work closely with other Software Engineers to build a well architected robust SaaS solution delivered to a high standard.
• Collaborate with other roles (design, test, support, management etc) across other Ideagen teams
• Show good judgement and user empathy to make small scale UI design decisions.
• Understand data and evaluate how to process it
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix software defects.
• Write automated tests to lock in desired behaviour.
• Contribute to the Development Team’s working practices and technology decisions.
• Create necessary documentation relating to work produced.
• Mentor and coach other development team members to help grow their technical skillsets.

• At least 4 years’ experience in Software Development roles, working across the stack
• Experience of Typescript for front end development (React preferred)
• Experience of Python (or another language) for data processing
• Experience of working on a cloud service, preferably in AWS, applying CI/CD
• Strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, in English.

Desirable

• Devops experience including Terraform
• Elixir programming experience.
