Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer Location: Coimbatore or Bangalore Responsibilities Specify guides, bearings, actuators, mechatronics, motors, pneumatics, and vacuum & fluid handling. Understand and implement electro-mechanical interface to mechanical designs and assemblies. Create layouts, detailed drawings, and BOMs. Provide drafting and designer support for rapid local ECO revision for urgent projects. Make recommended changes to drawings, schematics, BOMs, etc. Revision of drawings and resubmission of the ECOs without delay. Stay actively engaged and respond to quick drawing/spec revisions that come out of learnings from first builds. Help create and ECO release new and revised engineering documents. Provide timely communication on status and any other project-related items. Participate actively in project review meetings and show progress of work. Requirements & Skills Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering 5+ years of relevant industrial experience required. Work experience in capital equipment or the semiconductor industry is preferred. Hands-on proficiency in SolidWorks is required. Proficient in mechanical systems, system configuration, options structure, and BOM tree Thorough knowledge of the ECO process and mechanical design documentation Familiarity with ASME design standards in mechanical systems designs and drawings. Background in tolerancing for design development and details. Knowledge of GD&T. Knowledge of standard machining practices and tolerances. Organized and confident in completing tasks.
