Job Description: State Lead – Business Development

Role Overview:

As the State Lead for Business Development at Repos Energy, youll be instrumental in driving revenue growth, market expansion, and business success in your assigned region. Your role encompasses spearheading product sales, acquiring new customers, managing P&L, developing channel sales, and expanding our market presence.

Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying emerging industry and segment-specific trends and preparing implementation plans for forthcoming regulations. With a focus on driving results and maximizing profitability, youll lead a dynamic team to achieve targets and establish Repos Energy as a leader in the energy distribution sector.

 

Responsibilities:

Product Sales and Market Expansion:

Lead product sales initiatives, including identifying market opportunities and driving revenue growth.

Acquire new customers and penetrate untapped markets to expand our market presence.

Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales volume and market share targets per quarter.

Experience in both B2B and B2C sales to effectively cater to diverse customer segments.

P&L Management:

Manage the P&L for the assigned state, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.

Analyze sales performance, revenue trends, and expenses to optimize financial outcomes.

Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities to maximize revenue and margins.

Channel Sales Development:

Develop and maintain strong partnerships with channel partners, distributors, and dealers.

Drive channel sales initiatives, including training, support, and incentive programs.

Monitor channel performance and implement strategies to enhance sales effectiveness.

  Identify Emerging Industry & Segment-Specific Trends:

Stay abreast of emerging industry and segment-specific trends through regular market analysis and research.

Identify opportunities for innovation and adaptation to capitalize on evolving market dynamics.

Prepare Implementation Plan for Forthcoming Regulations:

Monitor regulatory developments and anticipate forthcoming regulations impacting the industry.

Develop implementation plans to ensure compliance and mitigate risks associated with regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.

Minimum 8+ years of proven sales experience, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

Experience in business development, channel sales, and market expansion in the energy or related industries.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.

Results-driven and customer-focused, with a passion for exceeding expectations.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
