Job description
Job Description :- Develop tools scripts and workflows for managing assets and streamlining all production processes as per requirements, ensuring consistency across the facility.- Offer frontline support to production teams, troubleshooting issues, and aiding artists with problem-solving.- Test and validate tools in real production scenarios, collaborating closely with engineering teams for software development and modification.- Collaborate effectively with all teams not limited to artists, production supervisors, and technical staff across all SPE studios. - Contribute to software projects aimed at enhancing asset setup, caching, and shot-data transfer between artists. - Identify daily priorities in consultation with supervisors and work independently. - Focus on developing complex tools that require a deep understanding of the pipeline. - Assist junior Pipeline TDs by resolving user errors and guiding Pipeline Engineers and R&D with technical issues. - Develop a thorough understanding of software systems and contribute to evolving production standards.- Update pipeline and tool documentation to reflect changes and enhancements. Required Skills/Competencies :- Proficiency in Linux Advanced Python scripting required - Experience in one or more of Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Mari, Katana, RenderMan or similar - Ability to communicate cross-discipline and provide innovative solutions to pipeline issues. - Detail oriented and strong self-sufficient troubleshooter. - Thorough understanding of the entire visual effects process, from shooting to modeling and texturing, animation, rendering and compositing Preferred Skills/Competencies :- Experience with production database systems - Experience with C, C++ - Experience with Windows development and applications such as 3ds max a plus.
