Job description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 12 years of experience in technical program management working on cross-functional programs.
  
• 5 years of experience working on emerging technologies in Cloud.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams and working across borders and time zones.
  
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Cloud Engineering Productivity is engaged with all Cloud/TI products and services, in this role you will provide access and engagement across all Cloud and TI teams (e.g., Compute, Storage, Network, Services, and etc.). You will also be part of building tools and systems that are critical to the delivery of products across Cloud/TI and Google. You will unleash your significant talents for program management, mobilizing cross-functional teams, delivering solutions for scale and data-driven decision making to refine, launch and deploy solutions that improve Cloud/TI engineering teams productivity, and drive release velocity improvements across Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, define requirements, and collaborate cross-functionally/globally to improve processes and tools.
  
• Own planning, execution, estimation, risk management, and stakeholder management.
  
• Develop strategic plans and roadmap to drive changes.
  
• Drive portfolio of technical projects and multi-quarter roadmap for tools/framework development, building infrastructure, and process improvement.
