The Social Innovation for Youth aims at establishing virtual makerspaces in various partner universities across Delhi-NCR region for students to learn emerging technologies and work on their start-up ideas to build an MVP and take it to market by the end of the program
The best ideas get seed funding and a chance to get incubated
The program offers opportunities for students to experience the journey of idea to incubation with support and guidance from in-house mentors and industry experts
The program is in the third year of its existence and has created 11 high potential start-ups

Key Responsibilities:
Supports and mentor s student community across a network of virtual makerspaces, through video conferences, online forums
Facilitates the creativity of student participants by demonstrating a genuine interest in their ideas, helping them define a minimum viable prototype
Mentors participants in the program for presentation in the demo day
Coach students through various stages and decision-points along their journey
Evaluate feasibility and quality of the teams at various stages in the program
Work in collaboration with the program team, particularly technical mentors, to provide holistic guidance to the students and point them as appropriate to onboarded external mentors
Work in collaboration with the program team to expand the external mentor pool
Work in collaboration with the Maker Manager to identify key industry experts for deep-dive workshops to be conducted. Help coordinate workshops, webinars, hackathons, & other events if required
Collate best practices and disseminate them across the community
Inspire program participants by sharing experience, as appropriate to their journey
Research to identify new areas for the program to incorporate
Work as a team member to support and further the goals of the department
