Job description
7 years of hands on experience in Chef and migrating applications in Linux environment Experience in identifying applications and their dependencies running on the existing Linux systems. Experience in identifying interdependencies between applications and their configuration requirements. Experience in developing Chef cookbooks to define the desired state of the target Linux systems. Experience in defining environments (e.g., development, testing, production) as per customer ecosystem Develop Chef recipes to manage the configuration of Linux systems and applications. Experience in leveraging testing of Chef cookbooks(Test Kitchen and InSpec) Experience in packaging applications and dependencies into distributable formats such as RPM, DEB, or tarballs. Implement security best practices and compliance requirements in chef recipes Should have strong knowledge of Shell scripting languages. Document the migration process, including Chef recipes, environment configurations, and deployment procedures. Strong work experience in Chef And who done chef migration applications in Linux environment Expertise in Chef cookbooks & Chef Recipes Devops Engineer who well versed in Infra
