Brief Description:
Incumbent will be primary responsible for leading and driving the IR and union relations strategy/agenda for the sites, supervise labour compliance matters, and implement the robust engagement plan for the site to improve connect with union/workers and create cordial ER atmosphere. Job requires the incumbent to work on the above agenda for the multiple locations within Hyderabad.
Job Description (JD) :
Ensure Zero Production Loss on account of ER/Labour issues.
- Proactive engagement with Union(s), Workers, Management Staff to improve Connect and Strengthen Union-Management Relations.
- Drive Collaborative working with workers/union groups, improving union/workers participation in Company affairs/activities.
- Ensure implementation of Site Engagement Plan, with involvement of all stakeholders.
- Educate Front Line Managers and Operations Staff on People Processes, Company Standing Orders/ Disciplinary procedures, and skill improvement for Effective Shop Floor Supervision.
- Develop rapport with external stakeholders including company external legal counsel, Union body representatives, Statutory Authorities (Labour, Factories, PF etc). Ensure all legal cases are disposed of in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions and working through with internal/external stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration with SBUs & Function Heads for implementation of HR policies and procedures in line with core organizational objectives.
Productivity Improvement Initiatives to address Labour Cost
- Design and implement HR strategies/Procedures/Guidelines for improvement
- Create Talent Pool for critical positions/skills. Critical role identification and Succession Planning actions
- Drive Competency Building Initiatives of the company/factory for both professionals as well as shop floor workers
- Maintaining harmonious Industrial Relations in the plant, conducting periodic meetings with workers representatives ( Unions) for grievance handling and proactively addressing day-to-day issues through HR Helpdesk
- Support Wage Settlement Process/Execution, including Wages/Benefits Benchmarking for shop floor workers in the industry cum region framework
- Consistently improve and report labour compliances status to internal stake holders
- Coordinate with EHS department and ensure that the welfare, safety requirements as per Factory Act is fulfilled
- Well versed with disciplinary actions, preparing Show cause Notices, issuing of warning letters, and Conducting Domestic Enquiries and initiating disciplinary actions for misconducts
- Labour laws awareness.
Job Specification: (Education, Training and Experience) :
MBA HR or PG HRM
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience
- Excellency in MS Office like Ms Excel, Ms Word, Ms Power Point etc.
- Compulsory Languages: English, Hindi and Telugu.
