Job Title: Training Head
Function: Human Resources
Location: Lonavala

Primary Purpose
Helps drive company values and philosophy and ensures all training and development activities are strategically linked to the organization’s mission and vision
Major accountabilities of the position (4-6 major accountabilities)
1. Should have the ability to inspire and motivate. Must be proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and data analysis to input data, track employee training and produce training reports.
2. Should have a combination of practical experience, excellent communications skills and a positive customer service attitude.
3. Should have excellent observation and listening skills to determine gaps in service or job performance to design an effective training program that results in improvement.
4. Should have strong writing and editing skills. Must have strong presentation skills and understand adult learning techniques to deliver effective training programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Induction and Orientation
Responsible for imparting induction on the day of joining to all new joiners
Orienting them with the standard procedures and processes of the organization.
2. Training Needs Analyses
Responsible for analyzing the training needs of the employees by observing them working or taking feedback from HODs
3. Designing Training Programs
Responsible for designing training programs focusing the training needs of employees
Responsible for designing different training modules for Management Trainees
4. Imparting Training
Responsible for imparting training as per designed training programs with the help of Departmental Trainers or HODs
5. Training Program Effectiveness
Responsible for evaluating training effectiveness by using different evaluation techniques viz. written test, oral test, on the job evaluation
6. Employee Engagement and Welfare Programs
Responsible to conduct Team building activities for staff on time-to-time basis
Responsible for organizing and conducting townhalls
7. Audits
Responsible for conducting audits as mentioned below
a) Announced Audits
To conduct Audits on time to time basis of all departments. Schedule for the same to prepared and shared with respective departmental HODs
b) Unannounced Audits
To conduct unannounced audits, by visiting their work stations at any point of time.
c) Phone Call Audits
Audits to be conducted of recorded calls of Order Takers, Reservations and telephone operators.
8. Development
Imparting trainings on current industry trends to upgrade the skill set of Managers/HODs.
Responsible for coaching managers to enhance own performance and to improve the performance of employees
9. Reports
Weekly and Monthly reports to be prepared and shown to the management on the effectiveness of the processes and trainings imparted in the course of time.
10. Responsible for driving brand values and philosophy in all training and development activities.
11. Responsible for partnering with operational leaders to assess if employees demonstrate effective technical and leadership skills. Develops and maintains an annual or quarterly training calendar.
12. Responsible for selecting, training and developing an internal training cadre to support delivery of technical skills training programs

Work relations (context – main interfaces – functional report)
• Reports directly to Chairman Managing Director, administratively to Director & COO
• Interfaces strongly with all department heads and employees
Value added to the success of the company
• Building competencies in employees.
• Ensuring robustness in the Training processes.
• Effective record keeping of all training related documents of employees.
Key figures
• No. of direct and indirect trainees:
• Average training sessions schedules on daily: 5-8 Sessions

Experience and qualifications required for the job
Postgraduate qualification in HRM or Hotel Management, from a reputed institute with minimum of 12-14 years of experience.

Minimum Qualification:

Postgraduate qualification in HRM or Hotel Management, from a reputed institute

Minimum Job Experience:

Minimum of 12-14 years of experience in top level trainings
