Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Create strategic sourcing plans for Optical Fibre & smooth functioning of the business
Business acumen understanding of key Purchasing and Engineering business processes and interfaces.
Analyse OFC market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
Establish for new supplier development and executing purchasing strategies
Estimate cost by analysing and bench-marking techniques
Manage timely deliveries and determine the quantity of Optic Fibre products.
Be aware of latest market trends and industry.
Manage the company's supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending
Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
Analyse and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
Experience with MRP, JIT, kanban systems and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Originate flexible strategies and firmed profitable deals
Excellent negotiation skills and ability to think strategically as well as tactically in a dynamic environment.
Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
Mandatory Skills/Certification:
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
