Job description
Role Purpose
- You will work as part of the Dedicated Network Monitoring Team within the Customer Services Team, responsible to report faults to fault fix team within defined SLA
- You will need to work on 24*7*365 shifts to maintain a high level of availability of services and minimizing the risk of network downtime through continual monitoring of network elements and links.
- Responsible for Real Time Network Monitoring and Fault Reporting of Vodafone Group network and t he candidate will have exposure to large scale IP networks, Cisco devices and other Vodafone products offered to customers across the globe.
- Will be required sometimes to receive calls from providers and IT helpdesks of various Irish Companies, and will be required to respond to queries on call as well as complete basic network troubleshooting.
- The Dedicated network monitoring group works closely with multiple groups within and outside the organization. As a result, great communication, analytical skills and commitment are essential in order to be considered for the position.
A basic understanding of telecommunications technology and hardware is mandatory
Role Description - Monitoring of the customer network within defined SLA
- To initiate diagnostics and perform pro-active analysis for all faults. Will perform root cause analysis for network alarms
- Notifying the customer and internal stakeholders of the fault and the impact to the network through calls/emails.
- Responsible for adhering to SLA and ownership on Incidents throughout the life cycle.
- Responsible for transferring tickets to L2 engineers and other necessary respective teams for problem resolution
- Interaction with the service desks, first line teams and key IT contacts.
- Individual has to be confident and should be able to handle customer effectively (Individual would need to join customer bridge calls for troubleshooting or during an escalation to keep customer appraised of progress)
- Individual should effectively multi task and also is responsible for queue management.
Desired Profile - B.E./B.Tech Degree holder, with atleast training completed for CCNA. CCNA certification is desired. CCNP training/certification is an added advantage.
- Good communication skills in English language.
- 1 year of experience in ISP/Telecom Projects working experience on NOC environment.
Experience in WAN technologies and troubleshooting is an added advantage.
Very Good customer handling skills and Communication should be very good.
Educational Qualifiation Candidate should have engineering background. BE/BTECH. CCNA training must.
CCNA certified. CCNP Trained/certified.
Post-Graduation in Advanced Networking preferable
One-year experience in a Managed Service Organization
