Job description
Position : Senior Telecom EngineerJob location : Chennai Salary : 25 LPA Job Responsibility:
• Prepare the development of key project deliverables, including (but not limited to) the
following:
o Philosophies and Specifications
o Telecom Systems Architecture Design
o Calculations
o Complex Loop Descriptions
o Index
o Telecom Equipment Data Sheets
o Building Layouts
• Participate in project reviews, including (but not limited to) the following:
o Reviews
o Model Reviews
• Development and support of vendor packages, including (but not limited to) the following:
o Create, issue, and manage requisition packages for Telecom system, and all
interfaces with ICSS.
o Perform and coordinate the review of supplier documents.
o Participate in the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of Telecom equipment.
• Site support, including (but not limited to) the following:o Provide technical support to Construction personnel for Telecom engineering-
related inquiries as needed.o Participate in Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of Telecom equipment.
• Project development and coordination activities (when acting as the Lead Engineer),
including (but not limited to) the following:
o Maintain and promote a focus on Sepam’s end-product throughout engineering,
fabrication, or construction.
o Become fully familiar with the project contract, scope of work, basis of design,
specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements; including
identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to
address the issues.
o Supervise and coordinate all activities associated with Telecom engineers and
designers.
o Provide technical expertise to the engineers and designers.
o Lead the discipline team during project audits and design reviews.
o Maintain close coordination with other discipline engineers and with the Client’s
engineer.o Report to and coordinate with the project engineering manager, project manager,
and I&C department manager
o Evaluate, communicate, and manage change with full awareness of project
impact.
o Ensure substantive communications are documented.
o Act as the primary approver for all Telecom deliverables
o Assume responsibility for cost, schedule, progress, quantity, budget control, and
quality of project deliverables.Qualifications:
• Prefer some type of Non-Engineering Technical Degree
• 6 - 15 years of Telecom Engineering experience
• Working knowledge of the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines,
including NEC, IEEE, EIA/TIA
• Proven project coordination and execution skills in the delivery of completed project
design deliverables.
• Experience with the utilization of multiple office project execution (MOPEX)
