Jr QA Automation Engineer
Position Summary: As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automated testing. Leveraging your expertise in test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and testing methodologies, you will design, develop, and execute automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability. Experience and Education: B.S. in Computer Science or related experience 2+ years of experience with quality assurance and software testing 2+ years of experience with analysis on web-based applications, particularly intranet solutions Knowledge of Agile Methodology Hands-in experience with the Communifire system (a plus) Skills and Strengths: JavaScript CSS/HTML XML Automation testing (i.e., Cypress) Performance testing API testing RESTful API Microsoft SQL Transact-SQL Git Jira CI/CD Azure devops (a plus) Communifire system (a plus) Primary Job Responsibilities: Participate in the development of test plans and strategies based on project requirements and functional specifications. Collaborate with QA leads and stakeholders to define test objectives, scope, and priorities. Enhance existing automation frameworks and libraries to improve test coverage, efficiency, and maintainability. Implement automated tests for web applications, APIs, and mobile applications using appropriate automation tools and techniques. Create, review, and update test cases and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with project requirements. Execute automated test suites as part of continuous integration pipelines or scheduled regression testing cycles. Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution and validation of fixes. Generate and maintain test reports and metrics to track test execution progress and provide visibility into the quality of the software under test. Monitor CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot issues related to test automation, environment setup, or infrastructure configuration. Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on quality goals. Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in test automation and quality assurance. Identify opportunities for process improvements, tool enhancements, or automation initiatives to streamline testing activities and improve overall efficiency.Job tags
