JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Engineer - Engineering Laboratory & Repair Center

ROLE DESCRIPTION

To Augment Department Capability through continuous improvement methodologies, 5S and Lean Practices ,to instill ethics and professional conduct to a high degree with the best of industry practices and Build positive work culture and strong team synergy to drive efficiency.

EXPERIENCE

7-10 years' experience, in Aerospace/Railroad/ Automotive/EV/ Li-Ion domain Previous experience in manufacturing/ production/ industrial/ testing & validation/ repair center.

QUALIFICATION

A bachelor’s or master's degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics) from a reputed institute.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a team of 40+ engineers & technicians in the state-of-the-art Engineering Lab & repair Center across 3 verticals: Inventory, Diagnosis & Assembly line Delegating and directing tasks to the team members Maintain regular cadence with TQM, Engineering, HW & SW teams to ensure timely diagnosis & resolution of faults. Ensure 100% adherence to Work Instruction Sheets, SOPs & shopfloor practices (safety, 5S, waste disposal, etc.). Assisting with or performing administrative tasks, such as managing and processing new orders, and tracking inventory. Auditing daily work of all battery diagnosis and repair stages to ensure high efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability. Establish and maintain a mindset of delivery, performance, First Time Right, quality & Safety. Prepare Battery diagnosis & repair MIS dashboards and reporting to management. Monitoring the progress of current projects and managing team members to ensure the team's objectives and goals are met. Coach, mentor and train new employees in battery repair procedures and soft skills. Perform technical research as required to identify best practices. Lean Six Sigma, continual improvement projects and right first-time approach.

Expertise in MS-office suite usage (Excel, Projects, PowerPoint) and collaborative tools (MS Teams, SharePoint).
