Driving robust Chassis Packaging studies to Concept selection
Exploring & establishing future opportunities in packaging areas
Responsibility:
Prepare Concept Vehicle Package layout as per vehicle platform strategy with close cooperation from CVDE modules, Vehicle Architects and support designers in early phases of project to freeze pre-requisites
Experience in DMU, Vehicle level layout, Dimensional Concepts, Packaging Concepts, etc. for N3 Category Trucks' application
Ensure the DMU captures the complexity content defined by Chassis matrix and Platform Requirement & align it with the BPS, Prerequisites and Vehicle platform Requirements
Provide input to the designers by converting the packaging constraints to build restrictions and allowable variant combinations for documenting items in KOLA
Participate & Verify at different stages through detailed feasibility checks that the CVDE requirements are met. (Platform ,GTO,AMT)
Consulting support to Engineers, project leaders/team members regarding vehicles specifications, Variant rules, Market Regulations, Variant diversity & Chassis diversity
Mentor designers and support project managers/ETLs/Epic Owners on platform & architecture rules
Participate in VAGlobal Packaging meeting representing CVD
Perform pre-study
Provide recommendation to designers on 3D stack up analysis for key interfaces
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in automotive Truck construction domain
Expert level knowledge in EDB tools connected to architecture
Expert level knowledge in Creo & PDMLINK
Proficient knowledge of truck architecture & Multi-brand customer knowledge
Proficient knowledge in market wise regulations impacting Truck architecture
Fully Proficient knowledge of KOLA
Mostly Effective knowledge of truck applications & GTA parameter
Experience with design & testing at a component level is a merit.
Prior experience in role of Team leader ETLscrum master is a merit
Experience in technical feasibility studies in collaboration with partners is a merit.
