Job description

Overview : We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Compensation and Benefits Analyst with an exceptional proficiency in Excel to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing, managing, and optimizing our compensation and benefits programs using advanced Excel techniques. They will possess a strong understanding of compensation principles, coupled with the ability to manipulate complex data sets to derive actionable insights. This role requires someone who is not only adept at Excel but also possesses excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of compensation and benefits practices. Key Responsibilities :

Utilize advanced Excel functions and formulas to analyze compensation data, including salaries, bonuses, and incentives, to ensure accuracy and competitiveness. Develop and maintain complex Excel models to forecast and evaluate the financial impact of proposed changes to compensation and benefits programs. Create dynamic dashboards and reports in Excel to visualize key compensation metrics and trends for management review and decision-making purposes. Collaborate with the HR team to streamline compensation processes and enhance data integrity within the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) using Excel-based solutions. Conduct in-depth analysis of market salary surveys and benchmarking data using Excel to inform compensation strategy and ensure alignment with industry standards. Assist in the design and implementation of incentive programs, equity grants, and other compensation-related initiatives, leveraging Excel for data analysis and scenario planning. Support annual compensation planning cycles, including merit increases, bonus payouts, and equity grants, by preparing Excel-based templates and conducting data validation. Partner with external vendors and consultants to gather, validate, and analyze compensation-related data, ensuring alignment with internal datasets and Excel-based models. Train and mentor HR team members on advanced Excel techniques and best practices for managing compensation and benefits data effectively. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to Excel and compensation analytics, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance processes and tools. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field. X+ years of experience in a compensation or financial analysis role, with a demonstrated proficiency in Excel. Expert-level knowledge of Excel functions and formulas, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables, Macros, and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). Strong understanding of compensation principles, market analysis, and financial modeling concepts. Experience working with HRIS platforms and extracting/manipulating data for analysis using Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings effectively. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity in Excel-based analyses. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization. High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive compensation information.
