Technical Skills
1. Tableau Server Administration
2. Databases: PostGres, Oracle 12c, SQL Server
3. Middleware: Apache
4. Working knowledge of Analytical tools like Tableau
5. Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
6. Fundamental knowledge of Server hardware, SAN Storage, Network and Network Security technologies like Firewall, SSL etc
Application Management
· Management of Tableau Server clusters and services
· Responsible for uptime of all the Tableau Server clusters.
· Plan, Test and Deploy Tableau version upgrades.
· Incident management of application under purview and ensure resolution within the SLA.
· Identifying the root causes of incidents to prevent future recurrence.
· Provide technical leadership and own technical responsibility of a defined suite of IT applications.
· Manage the outcomes of regular SFR meetings & coordinate with vendor & BTG for problem resolution and follow ups.
· Manage the application and technology obsolescence projects.
Performance & Obsolescence Management
· Take initiative and implement tuning changes in the system.
· Ensure hardware and software are not on obsolete technology, version & plan for upgrades as per obsolescence.
· Track & analyze the data and identify scope for performance improvement.
· Identify and conduct POC of latest technologies.
Project Management
· Coordinate the review, presentation and release of all SLA deliverable and other documentation pertaining to supported applications
· Ensure that all team members / Vendor (i.e. Technical Analysts / Programmers) perform the delegated tasks according to set timelines.
· Ensuring Application, DB, O/S Baselines, Security points are adhered to and document in place as per the SOX guidelines.
· Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams
· Keep the Manager informed of task accomplishment, issues and status. Escalate issues that cannot be resolved by the team to the Project Manager
· Assist team in achieving best possible design solution for functional requirements
· Collection of necessary data for MIS preparation for supported applications
· Managing UAT infrastructure for supported applications.
· Attending CAB meetings & planning the Change in production.
· Reviewing KB documents & publishing the same.
· Restore normal service operations as quickly as possible in case of outage of the application.
· Coordinate for execution of mock drills on BCP set for U & U plus runs & ensure BCP run books are up-to-date.
· Manage new project implementations and to ensure BTG Movements into production complies with processes. Attend KT sessions and put forward the requirements.
Audit & Compliance
· Manage & adhere to the IT governance tasks with respect to vendors and contracts.
· Manage IT audit with respect to their queries and to ensure there are no audit observations.
· Managing the IT budget and payment process for the vendors for supporting application
· Mitigate the closure of VAPT points in the application to ensure compliance.
· Plan the OS patch on the servers & ensure it is as per compliance.
