It’s an opportunity to be part of something special Job Purpose: Key Account Manager – is a senior-role in the Modern Trade & CSD business vertical, within the BU Commercial Business vertical, responsible for leading the company's efforts to expand and manage its presence in modern retail channels such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and convenience stores and CSD / CPC channels. The incumbent will be responsible for achieving and managing P&L and the top line and bottom-line targets of the business as per the accelerated Sales & Marketing plans for the assigned account. The role shall directly report to the BU Head of Modern Trade & CSD and therefore needs to be able to drive all decisions, targets, initiatives, and programs pertaining to MT & CSD sales at a country level for the account. The role shall also support in planning that entails the forecasting of business based on relevant KPIs growth and category & brand to arrive at overall revenue & profit impact.Support Sales Lead in defining & delivering KPI norms for Sales team against established metrics & measures, while maintaining & adhering to Haleon Values.The role has the following key deliverables:
- Planning and negotiating strategic alliances with key chains
- Developing quarterly activity/ promotional calendar specific to outlet and chain
- Strategize / execute zone specific brand objectives within budget and time
- Liasoning with Sales/ S&CM for branding activities at stores
- To evolve & achieve Strategic Annual Operating Business Plans for the defined National Key Accounts.
- Develop Modern Trade by conducting Strategic Alliance tie-ups, consumer promotions, building relations & image of overall existence of the company in Modern Trade.
- To achieve volume and value objectives of the assigned zones within budget, time, and policy parameters through Efficient control of the network under charge.
- Responsible for Controlling Prominent Shelf Space and Merchandising Unit Positioning in all Key Accounts.
- Consumer Awareness and Activations
- To work coactively with all Brand Management Team to develop Consumer awareness /image / preference by Executing Planned Consumer Promotions & Events At Quarterly Basis.
- Proactively Own a Product Launch Calendar & help Brand Managers in Planning and Launching New Product, clearly identifying its need, communication, incremental volume, sell-in-norms, merchandising norms & the brand strategy.
- Execute Marketing events and Promotional Programme by conducting brand-wise promotions basis the outlets / Marketing activity calendar.
- Financial Responsibilities
- Operate/ Achieve Channel Costs as budgeted for the year
- Documentation And Prior Approval Of All TOTs (i.e. terms of trade) for audit purposes
- Settling chain wise Claims (damages, trade schemes, misc. debit notes) within stipulated timeframe
- Submitting NOCs (No Objection certificate) from vendors on a quarterly basis
Field Responsibilities - Responsible for Correct Placements & Maintaining all Company Marketing Assets in coordination with the RKAM’s/ S&CM and Marketing team.
- Maintain a Database of all Modern Trade Outlets (administrative, commercial, business details)
- Plan a Regular (Monthly) Journey Plan with regional modern trade personnel
- Reporting / Administration
- Report Accurate Timely Information as scheduled and in the defined regular format.
- Monitor Activities and Sales Promotions on weekly / monthly basis to determine deviations from plans and take necessary corrective actions
- Competition Tracking Responsibilities
- Track competition activities monthly in chain / modern trade outlets. Document and communicate the same to the brand & sales management team in the monthly review meeting.
- Ensure proper and immediate feedback for appropriate and timely action
People Development
- Align the team to the vision and strategy of the organization
- Provide thought leadership and perspective to the team
Code of Conduct / statutory & regulatory norms
- Adherence to the code of conduct by the entire MT & CSD team
- Conformation to all Financial and Administrative systems.
- Ensure compliance of EHS norms for the Region
- Compliance with all statutory and regulatory norms.

- Why is this level of experience required?
- 9+ years of which at least 2 years will be Key Account Manager in consumer industry. It would be preferred if the incumbent is handling similar role.
- This is minimum level of experience will be required to be able to provide leadership and guidance to the Sales team.
