Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Systems Administrator with a strong background in system administration, incident/problem determination, and resolution. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience with network security appliances such as Checkpoint, Palo Alto, FortiGate, ASA, and Sophos. The candidate should be able to identify and highlight opportunities for automation, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to streamline and optimize system operations.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration:
Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security appliances.
Perform routine system monitoring and ensure the integrity and availability of all systems.
Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard systems and data.
Incident/Problem Determination and Resolution:
Investigate and resolve system-related incidents and problems promptly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Develop and implement preventive measures to minimize future incidents.
Automation:
Identify areas for automation within the IT environment.
Propose and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
Continuously evaluate and update automation strategies to adapt to changing IT landscapes.
Security Appliance Expertise:
Demonstrate hands-on experience with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, FortiGate, ASA, and Sophos.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot security appliances to ensure a secure network infrastructure.
Stay updated on the latest developments in network security technologies.
Communication Skills:
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members and convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Primary Skills:

Secondary Skills:
Cloud Computing (desired but not mandatory)

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security+, etc.) are a plus.
