Job Description
As an Engagement Manager, you will lead and develop capabilities and branding for Allianz Consulting India to enhance the service & capability portfolio of the Management Consulting Service. You will identify business development opportunities in the APAC region as well as manage and grow the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the project and/or internal team in order to achieve successful completion of all set targets
- Support the on-the-job and longer-term career development plans for all team members by following the minimum standards and processes
- Actively manage sales opportunities and lead accounts, e.g. identifying and leading new pitch opportunities
- Provide content leadership of projects to clients by also delegating responsibilities to team members, synthesize conclusions and deliverables, anticipating obstacles and finding solutions by focusing on client’s satisfaction
- Support on client development by becoming a trusted advisor to main clients, understand clients’ needs and support the resolving of issues, anticipate and suggest potential projects according to the client’s requirements, work on sales pitches under partner guidance
- Support business development and/or quality management education through training facilitation
- Support the overall achievement of all targets and results by achieving collective agreed team revenue, cost and profit targets including relevant KPIs; ensure the content leadership of client projects as well as a supporting on customer development
- Provide consulting services to assigned clients, act as stand-in for the Partner as required and perform tasks on behalf of the Partner as directed, provide support to OEs and Group Centres to implement AZ Group initiatives, change management and business improvement
Internal
- Maintain appropriate staffing with Allianz Consulting continuous employee rotation and ensure high motivation of staff through coaching and conflict management
- Actively benchmark and improve the services / develop new services
- Actively participate in the Allianz Services India org wide initiatives
- Ensure compliance to all processes and policies
Key Requirements/ Skills/ Experience
- 12-14 years relevant experience in management consulting/technology consulting/insurance business
- University degree or a comparable professional experience
- Fluent in spoken and written English, another Asian language is a plus
- Broad experience in project- and program management methods and techniques, process enhancement and automation, technology advisory is a strong plus
- Conceptual and implementation experience, broad strategic and operational management experience
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong motivational interpersonal skills, and able to guide, develop and mentor junior consultants
Desired requirements/ skills/ experiences
- Strategy and transformation consulting experience
- Client/Account management experience would be a plus
- Advanced experience in change management, quality management, integration, and re-organization as well as mentoring and developing a team
- International work experience (min. 24 months desirable)
