Product Engineer (1-2 Years)

Job description

• Bachelors in EE or related engineering degree

• 1-2 years of experience with product engineering experience on highly complex products/projects

• Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits their operation and analysis

• Extensive hands on experience working with different lab equipment for taking data and / or performing device debug or failure analysis. For example use of the curve tracers; return loss analyzers, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

• Experience of bench testing of op-amps, ADCs, mixed –signal circuits and digital circuits

• Experience with bench validation and characterization PCBs

• Experience with integrated circuit and device failure analysis

• Experience with Final Test System or mixed signal ATE

• Programming skills for automation of bench characterization equipment (Labview/Teststand), along with C and or C++ for ATE

• Extensive knowledge of statistics and tools to analyze large amounts of characterization data and determine and set production test limits and predict yield data

• Knowledge of device packaging and wafer fabrication process

• Knowledge of reliability requirements and multi-temp characterization methodology using statistical analysis

• Have working knowledge of what is required to take a product from development stage to production

• Ability to work in a team environment and understand cross-functional team dynamics

• Ability to work with global customers to align project schedules with customers' key milestones

• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Collaborate and work in a team environment with Design, Applications, Test, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability in all aspects of new product development, production release to accomplish goals and objectives

• Develop and implement Qualification plans

• Design sHTOL, dHTOL, ELFR, BHAST, and PTC boards to qualify Analog products.

• Perform evaluation, debug and characterization of integrated circuits to ensure they meet the product requirement specifications and manufacturing requirements

• Work with failure analysis (FA) to determine root cause of any reliability and qualification failures

• Work with process and package technology development to develop and qualify technologies for new product development

• Work closely with the global manufacturing facilities to address customer specific product quality, yield management and cost reductions issues on mature products. Scope of work could include product spins and derivatives

• Work with planning team to ensure smooth device ramp post release to manufactuing (RTM).

• Qualify second source wafer fab, assembly / test (A/T) facility, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure device continutiy of supply.

• Perform test conversion, test time reduction, and yield improvements to achieve device entitlement operational transfer cost (OTC).

• Lead a cross functional team on the execution of releasing new products and ensuring successful return on investment for every development; the team consists of Design, Marketing, Systems & Applications, Validation, Product & Test Engineering, Firmware/Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Field, and Quality

• Work with wafer fabrication, assembly & test sites to guarantee schedule, cost and quality

• Communicate weekly to management on status of each project
