Interpret and diagnose medical images obtained through various imaging modalities, adhering to established protocols and guidelines
Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare teams to determine appropriate imaging techniques and provide consultations on image interpretation
Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain relevant medical history, and address any concerns
Perform interventional procedures under imaging guidance, such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Supervise and provide guidance to radiology technologists and other staff involved in imaging procedures
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning discussions, providing expertise on imaging findings
Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, documenting findings, interpretations, and recommendations
Stay up to date with advancements in radiology and imaging sciences through continuous professional development and participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participate in research activities, and engage in teaching and mentoring of residents, fellows, and medical students
Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and best practices in imaging, minimizing radiation exposure risks to patients and staff
Comply with all relevant regulatory and ethical standards in radiology practice, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
Qualifications and Requirements:
Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution
Completion of a residency program in Radiology
Board certification or equivalent qualification in Radiology
Subspecialty fellowship training in a specific area of radiology (optional but preferred)
Valid medical license and registration to practice as a Radiologist
Proven experience as a Consultant in Radiology Imaging Sciences, preferably in a hospital or medical center setting
Strong knowledge and expertise in various imaging modalities and their clinical applications
Proficiency in interpreting and reporting radiological images accurately and efficiently
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
Commitment to maintaining professional competency through ongoing learning and development
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
