Kshema was established in July 2018 and commenced business on 5th May 2023 and is India's only Digital Insurance Company for Cultivators in the Food and Agriculture Sectors. Kshema enables cultivators with resilience from financial distress due to extreme climate events and perils through localized insurance products. Kshema has a pan India presence with more than 200 employees on roles along with 200+ employees as contractors.

Job Description

The role involves a complete understanding of the Indian Insurance space, with good exposure to products and processes. The role holder will be responsible for insurance business development, client and product strategy, as well as, developing specific market plans that will create a robust pipeline for long-term growth in the Insurance Distribution Practice targeting the farmers and Cultivators and app downloads.

Key Responsibilities: Work closely VP-Sales in devising-business strategy for Insurance distribution business. Forge strategic partnerships with leading companies / Banks/telecom partners and leverage their networks to sell Kshema. Drive innovation through differentiated product offerings Manage all regulatory & compliance interaction with Insurance companies & internal teams. Implement overall Insurance product strategy, product development, and go-to-market plans. Develop and manage a high-performance team in support of strategic and growth objectives. Responsible and accountable for achieving financial goals and targets. Listen to clients and market participants to identify and cultivate new ideas to fuel the growth of the app IAgri. Take responsibility for the overall growth of the category and for customer engagement on the app directly resulting in app downloads. Job Specifications This is a full-time position. The role holder will report directly to the VP-Sales Extensive travel may be required- typically 20-25% within India. In-depth knowledge of the Insurance industry and the competitive landscape in the distribution of insurance products. Excellent writing and presentation skills. Ability to anticipate client needs in a way that builds product capabilities and opportunities to gain competitive advantage. Strategic thinker and industry thought leader with deep insurance industry expertise. Demonstrated business development of insurance business, cultivation, and relationship management skills with ability to identify customer needs and effectively communicate position, negotiate, and drive solutions sales. An outgoing, positive person who has the ability to develop high level relationships internally and externally. Understanding of digital products and digital methods of distribution of insurance products Experience: Prepare a go-to market plan and sales strategy; prospect potential clients and rigorous follow up to close deals. Forge strategic alliances with organizations who can be strategic partners in achieving go-to market goals. Take a data-driven approach to their growth journey. Work with product ops teams in to develop new applications, product enhancements etc. Work with customers to pilot new feature roll outs. Ensure timely payments are made by customers enrolled on Kshema platform instil discipline in customers on making automated monthly payments as per sales contract. Conduct periodic customer trainings, call centre operations trainings etc. to ensure the ecosystem of users and service providers are up to speed with the latest capabilities and processes.
