Job description

We are looking for a raw material buyer senior professional responsible for sourcing and procuring the necessary materials (such as Casting ,Forging,Rubber and Plastic items )required for manufacturing processes of industrial automation products .The role is crucial in ensuring that the company obtains high-quality materials at competitive prices to maintain production efficiency and profitability.

Candidates with 10 - 15+ years of experience particularly in Purchase of above materials can apply. 

Must possess a technical thorough knowledge of raw materials and identify the exact supplier.

Candidates who have prior experience working for 2 wheeler manufacturing companies would be a good fit.

Candidate must be eligible for taking charge of end to end procurement of different raw materials required for manufacturing parts.

Skills and Qualifications:
Procurement Expertise: Knowledge of procurement processes, material costing,sourcing strategies, and supplier management techniques.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively to achieve favorable terms and pricing.
Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance metrics.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with suppliers and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify and address supply chain challenges promptly and efficiently.
Attention to Detail: Precision in evaluating product specifications, contracts, and quality standards.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects simultaneously.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific raw materials, suppliers, and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
Computer Proficiency: Competence in using procurement software, spreadsheets, and databases for data analysis and reporting.
Education: A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field is typically required. Additional certifications like Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) may be advantageous.

Job Responsibilities:
Sourcing: Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers for raw materials.
Negotiation: Negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable deals.
Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality consistency.
Market Analysis: Monitoring market trends, prices, and supply availability to make informed purchasing decisions.
Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock while optimizing cash flow.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring that purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications.
Cost Reduction: Identifying opportunities to reduce costs through alternative sourcing, bulk purchasing, or process improvements.
Risk Management: Assessing and mitigating risks related to supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or price fluctuations.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance metrics.
Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams such as production, quality control, and logistics to meet operational requirements.
