Job description

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• HR Operations: Â It includes human resource duties such as maintaining employee records; administering payroll and benefit plans, such as health insurance; and overseeing employee self-service capabilities.
• Compliance: Â These duties include reporting and other documentation required by government regulations for statutory compliance. HR generalists are also responsible for ensuring their organizations comply with required labour laws.
• Hiring: Â Managing the hiring process is a large part of the HR generalist's role. This includes recruiting new employees, writing job descriptions and conducting interviews.
• On boarding: Â To ensure smooth on boarding of new joiner. Ensure all documentation are in place. To take up orientation programme for new joiners and explain all the policies in detail.
• Staff retention: Â These duties include retaining employees, and handling individual and support organizational development. Here, monitoring HR analytics, such as turnover and absenteeism rates, is crucial. HR generalists also conduct exit interviews, which help HR evaluate their organization's workplace environment.
• Employee engagement: Â To play an important role in ensuring employee engagement and helping employees feel connected to their company. They use employee engagement software to monitor those efforts. These duties include conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary actions and initiatives that foster employee wellness.
• Training and development : In the modern office, HR generalists are responsible for managing and, in some cases, overseeing employee training and development. This includes working with managers to identify training needs, creating training programs and ensuring employees have access to relevant training.
• Human Resource Information System: Â HR generalist will be responsible to operate HRIS and maintain employee cycle on HR system.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
• Expertise with social media, resume databases and professional networks
• Good on analytical skills
• Labour law knowledge is preferred.
