Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of routine and complex clerical and accounting tasks connected with processing payroll and maintaining payroll records
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer payroll queries
  • Enter New Hires, terminations, leaves and other status' that impact payroll into the system
  • Enter payroll/benefit data into payroll systems, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions
  • Maintain time and attendance records impacting payroll
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, entering and auditing data
  • Update payroll records by entering changes to employee information or benefits (ie, exemptions, insurance coverage, direct deposit, etc.)
  • Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, calculating employers' payments for pension/social security and workers' compensation
  • Posting changes in pay and tax status, and miscellaneous changes
  • Run payroll reports, ledgers and other financial reporting needs
  • Maintain payroll operations by following procedures, understanding proper taxation, garnishments and required reporting
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 3 years' experience in handling payroll & HR payroll related function
  • Experience working in a global company preferred. Knowledge of payroll within APAC is a plus
  • Ability to work with large quantities of data
  • Diploma in Accountancy and/or equivalent experience
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work under strict timelines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is critical, ability to problem solve independently
  • Proactive and results oriented
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred (pivot tables, macros, etc
