Job description
Responsibilities
- Designing and planning airfield ground lighting systems based on industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting site surveys and assessments to identify the lighting requirements for runways, taxiways, and apron areas.
- Managing the installation and commissioning of AGL systems, including runway edge lights, touchdown zone lights, and taxiway centerline lights.
- Performing regular inspections and maintenance activities to ensure the operational integrity of airfield lighting equipment.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including airport operations, electrical contractors, and regulatory authorities, to address AGL-related issues and compliance matters.
- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for AGL systems during emergencies and operational disruptions.
- Staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in airfield lighting to recommend system enhancements and upgrades.
- Preparing comprehensive reports and documentation related to AGL projects, maintenance activities, and compliance records.
- Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, industry standards, and environmental guidelines in all AGL operations.
Experience Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Airports industry with a focus on airfield ground lighting systems.
Education Qualification Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Certification Required Certification in Airfield Lighting Systems Design and Maintenance.
