JOB SCOPE

Role : Architect-Network Operations

The Network Sr. Architect is part of the IT Operations team within the PepsiCo CTO Organization at Hyd and reports to the Director-Network.

PepsiCo has a multivendor hybrid outsourced model for its Infrastructure IT operations. The PepsiCo IT Operations team works with various businesses, in-house IT teams, IT partners, and OEMs to maintain high-quality services around the clock. The person in this role is responsible for developing and maintaining functional and secure networks. You will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users. In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture, security, and data protection. Your goal will be to establish networks that cater to customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Managed Service Providers and internal stakeholders , build trust with stakeholders, and own the design process.
• Implements security solutions infrastructure and/or application including the design, configuration, development, testing and deployment of security-related technologies such as Firewalls, WAFs, LB, IDS/IPS, Content.
• Experience of defining network security architectural principles and policy; and governing their implementation (particularly zoning policy within IT network transport environments).
• Significant experience of operating in a Governance and Architecture role; or a Design role having end-to-end responsibility and spanning multiple network technology domains.
• Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices
• Monitor network performance and integrity
• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
• Mentor team members on technical issues
• Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g., access authentication and disaster recovery)
• Communicate with users when needed
• Maintain complete technical documentation
• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 10 Years experience
• CCNP / CCIE Certification would be desirable.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and associated technologies.
• Analyzing workflow and security requirements and establishing the network.
• Evaluating network performance issues and installing and testing equipment, connections, and firewalls.
• Defining the policies and procedures for the network.
• Implementing, monitoring, and evaluating security protocols.

• Cisco FirePOWER IPS
• Cisco FirePOWER Threat Defence
• Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
• Symantec End Point Proxy
• Cisco AnyConnect VPN
• Aruba CleraPass
• Cisco ASA & Palo Alto Network Firewalls.e Management trends and developments
• Strong understanding of network security principles and associated technologies.
• Analyzing workflow and security requirements and establishing the network.
• Strong relationship-building capability
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven experience of managing an effective working relationship with audit departments, and challenging where appropriate

Differentiating Competencies

• CCNP / CCIE Certification would be desirable.
