Responsible for test creation, testing a large module or a large component and designing a feature, set of features, or whole feature area independently, Contributing to the immediate team and to other teams across business; Leading software quality engineering discussions and mentoring of other junior quality engineers.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
• Break down problems and estimate time required for quality and test automation related tasks
• Demonstrate increasing expertise in application domain and functional areas
• Apply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC
• Take ownership of team tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Work independently and deliver test automation and use story creation which meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Write effective test automation scripts using code and tools, according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored
• Collaborate with development team in bugs fixing and build plans
• Collaborate with Quality Leaders in creating test automation plans
• Implement and configures testing tools and at times help junior staff
• Implement system-level integration testing
• Be skilled in core data structures and algorithms
• Define quality metrics, best practices and coding patterns, and provides deep expertise on the coding

• Define and implement test automation using latest tools and technologies

• Implement test automation frameworks, automate, and execute automated test cases

• Integrate test automation with CI/CD and create execution dashboards

• Take ownership of planning and tracking of test automation targets and report to leadership

Education Qualification

For roles outside USA:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience 10 years experience.

For roles in USA: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience 10 years

Desired Characteristics

Technical expertise
• Has g ood experience in Selenium-3, JMeter, Katalon Automation tools and Postman API.

• Has Good experience in developing scripts like Selenium, QTP, VB script and Katalon.

• Has experience in developing, automating API’s using Postman API tool.

• Has e xperience in integrating Automation framework with Continuous integration CI tool.

• Has e xpertise in Selenium automation using Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid with JAVA.

Business acumen:
• Has the ability to take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary
• Voices opinions and presents clear rationale. Uses data or factual evidence to influence
• Recognizes collaborative behavior and participates in collaborative activities
• Able to understand how team and personal goals/objectives contribute to the organization vision
