Job Position: Software Asset Management Engineer Experience : 5 + years Location: Hyderabad/Gurugram/Pune Skills : Service Now / Microsoft SCCM, software licensing models Responsibilities: Works closely with help desk, operations, Standard Services, Vendor and Procurement to ensure appropriate software licenses are available prior to deployment. Responsible for Software Asset Management license maintenance activities Creating new software licenses in accordance with vendor specifications, processing new software purchases and applying to the appropriate software license as approved Monitoring and identifying compliance risks of software licenses. Identify opportunities for cost savings to address efficiency, renewal and commercial issues. Coordinating software and license reclamation activities o Collecting information in response to software verification requests Responsible for maintaining the Definitive Software Library (DSL), including: Downloading software media and moving to the DSL o Distributing software media to the appropriate resources Assessing and actioning usage-based reports Responsible for receiving and managing software license keys. Maintain knowledge of key Vendor licensing models, working with Vendor Management to understand specific commercial relationships. Assist in Software audit activities, working with the Governance & Assurance team, the Configuration Management team and Vendor Management. Responsible for the following activities related to the maintenance of the license repository: Work with the packaging teams to ensure deployment methods and media are correctly operating in line with license restrictions. Ensuring software models are linked to the appropriate contracts o Ensuring license keys are linked to the appropriate software models Required Skills Experience in configuration management, asset life-cycle management, process improvement and compliance Working knowledge of the fundamental concepts and procedures used in an asset management environment. Working knowledge of software licensing models Working knowledge of reconciling software licensing and software maintenance terms and conditions between procured rights and quantities with compliant deployment of software assets. • Experience with Software Asset Management tools, such as - Service Now / Microsoft SCCM Why choose GSPANN “We GSPANNians” are at the heart of the technology that we pioneer.
