We have urgent hiring in leading steel manufacturing company
Position- Head Procurement
Location: Thane, Mumbai
Must have handson experience in all procurement functions for Electrical items, mechanical stores and raw materials especially for EOT Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Material Handling Equipments, etc.
• Working level understanding for the various major purchase items like Motors, Drives, Panels/erooms, gear boxes, steel plates, structural steel, castings, forgings, couplings, brakes, etc.
• Locating suitable suppliers/ develop new supliers as required
• Obtain offers and negotiate with Suppliers
• Collaborate intra and inter departmental activities (technical / commercial / administrative / financial)
• Monitor performance of the department
• Evaluate competency of new vendor
• Followup with suppliers for timely delivery
• Approval of purchase order as per financial authority
• Follow up with Finance for supplier payment
• Preparation of department budget
• Stores Management
• Inventory Management
