Job description
Summary:
The Australian accountant will be responsible for managing various financial tasks including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation, audits, payroll processing, and statutory submissions. The incumbent will ensure accuracy and compliance in financial transactions and reports, contributing to the smooth operation of the finance department.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Management:
- Maintain accounts payable records, updating spreadsheets for utilities, rentals, and miscellaneous expenses twice weekly.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment processing for all invoices.
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Generate invoices for supports provided on a weekly basis and rental/boarding on a fortnightly basis.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconciliation:
- Perform daily reconciliation of financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Audits:
- Conduct monthly audits to ensure billing aligns with NDIS plans and all participants are appropriately invoiced for boarding and rentals.
- Management of Management Team Leave:
- Coordinate and manage leave requests for the management team, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with company policies.
- Aged Receivables Reporting:
- Generate aged receivables reports twice weekly to monitor overdue payments and take necessary actions for recovery.
- Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll for all team members on a fortnightly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage additions and terminations of employees on Cloud Payroll.
- Address payroll inquiries promptly during pay weeks.
- Administer Work cover payroll as required.
- BAS Submission:
- Prepare and submit BAS reports on a quarterly basis, ensuring compliance with taxation regulations.
- ATO - Payroll Tax - VIC & SA:
- Complete and submit monthly payroll tax reports to the ATO for Victoria and South Australia.
- Superannuation Submission:
- Prepare and submit superannuation reports quarterly, ensuring timely and accurate contributions.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in accounting and payroll administration.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems (e.g., Cloud Payroll).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Only Experience Candidate eligible for thus profile.

Salary Criteria : 3LPA to 4LPA
