Job description
Role Purpose :
To ensure timely and cost efficient procurement of raw materials at a Global level. To ensure that monthly business performance goals are delivered.
To ensure strict compliance to regulatory requirements - Sustainability, Kosher, Halal etc
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning and Strategizing
· Develop a Procurement Strategy for sourcing the RM portfolio in line with Oleochemical business objectives and dynamics
· Strategic sourcing of Palm Oil, Mustard and associated commodities to ensure continuous availability at competitive price.
· Envisage and drive key strategic projects in supply chain for changing needs of the business and derive better efficiencies in the value chain.
2. Policy and Process Design, Implementation and Review
· Price and Volume forecasting for key RM :: Provide inputs for decision making. Ensure delivery of agreed volume @ competitive cost and credit terms
· Drive Lean inventory including Vendor Managed Inventory with extended supplier credit.
· Lead processes of Cost Reduction, sourcing Strategy Development, Supplier Selection, Rate Negotiations and Capacity planning for oil portfolio
· Transformation & Continuous Improvement :: Capture Supply market insights and translate the same into Buying Opportunities at Global scale.
· Implementing & ensuring best commercial practices between Suppliers and VVF
3. Collaboration and Supplier Relationship Management
· Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations, and inventory control of raw materials and finished goods
· Structure vendor agreements and costing in line with company's profitability
· Build and manage Suppliers relationships at the senior most levels. Drive value thro Strategic long term contracts.
· Provide inputs for Annual Business Planning processes based on supply chain performance
4. Management of performance, capability and morale
· Delivery Buying savings as per plan. Drive Best in Class End to End RM sourcing (Transformation)
5. Infrastructure and Technology Investment and Management
· Implement cutting edge Digital practices for Tracking markets and delivering RM Blends
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
· Knowledge of company's strategy, structure and practices
· Thorough understanding of latest trends and best practices in strategic sourcing
· Strong skills in strategic planning
· Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
· Proven ability to build, sustain, and influence relationships, at all levels of an organization
