Solar PV Design Engineer
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC, US) • Familiarity with residential energy storage and Solar Code requirements of cities in Bay Area, CA • Minimum of 5 years experience in creating Residential and Commercial Solar PV plans • Solar certifications • Self-directed and self-motivated team player • Experience using AutoCAD 2012 or newer and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Adobe • Customer engagement, Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively • Demonstrate oral and written communication skills • Demonstrate organizational and time management skills • Experience in cost justification for new processes and procedures required • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Electrical Engineering Preferred. Responsibilities • Plan, design and execute Energy storage and solar energy projects and manage everything from residential rooftop installations to large-scale municipal projects • This individual must manage multiple projects and manage effective time management • Put together Energy storage and Solar PV Residential Permit plans and apply for it with cities and counties • Familiarity with shade studies and energy production calculation using PVsyst and Helioscope software • Familiarity with Enphase and Solar Edge system monitoring software • Checking and verifying drawings are accurate and complete • Uploading documents to CRM • Changes to existing drawings • Supports the standardization of documentation • Creating solar panel drawings using CAD software; from designs, sketches, layouts, or notes that may be provided by engineering, with detail and accuracy to facilitate accurate installation of jobs on site • Implementing design rules and best practices to generate panel drawings to ensure compliance with design requirements • Generate drawings to support product documentation and accurate installation of jobs on site • Identifying non-conformance issues and participating in finding solutions NEM application Service Call: Ability to troubleshoot the existing solar system, communicate with equipment manufacture Additional info: Pune Office: Dattawadi, Pune Working hours: 2.30 pm to 11.30 pm IST, Monday to Friday No work from home Compensation- competitive Bi- yearly bonus of 5% of base salary based on performance personal and company.
