Job Overview:
As a Network and Security Engineer at TCPL, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients' network infrastructure and security systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and secure networking solutions that meet the business and security requirements of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of networking protocols, security measures, and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Responsibilities-
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network architectures for clients, considering both local and cloud-based environments.
- Collaborate with the team to develop comprehensive network and security strategies that align with industry best practices and compliance standards.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and other security-related infrastructure components.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network problems, and optimize network performance for maximum efficiency and uptime.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing to identify and address potential weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to proactively implement measures that enhance network security.
- Provide timely technical support to clients and internal teams, addressing network and security-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure necessary hardware, software, and security tools.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, configurations, and security protocols.
Qualifications-
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Security+, CISSP) is a plus.
- Proven experience (10 years) working as a Network and Security Engineer or in a similar role.
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, encryption, and access control.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing security appliances and technologies from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet etc.
- Experience with cloud networking and security solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and security issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Proactive mindset with a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest developments in networking and cybersecurity.
