Accounts Assistant

POSITION CONTEXT & OBJECTIVES: To assist in the delivery of high quality, efficient and accurate financial and accounting data. To provide these services in an accurate and timely manner through the provision of excellent customer service whilst complying with organizational policies and procedures, accounting standards and legislatives requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESFINANCE & ACCOUNITNG FUNCTIONS • Maintain company records and files, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and asset records • Verification of bank reconciliations and banking facilities records • Pay vendors and suppliers • Manage petty cash • Prepare, edit, and post monthly invoices, statements, and credit memos • Ensuring all payments amounts & records are accurate • Key data into company accounting system • Review employee expenses and make reimbursements • Other duties as assigned GENERAL • To co-ordinate between regional team and local team ensuring smooth flow of communication and instructions. • To liaise with individual team members to ensure targets are met • To assist with the performance and development of team members • Other duties as directed by the Line manager to assist in smooth running of activities and team.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA • Educational Qualification –

(B.Com/M.Com/BBA/MBA) with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with and gain cooperation and assistance from regional team and other key stakeholders • Work experience in MNC environment having shared services setup • Well-developed skills in time management, setting priorities and planning. • Experience in the ERP such as SAP, Navision, Oracle, Net Suite including financial systems, databases, internet applications & Excel. • Ability to problem solve by applying technical solution to solve accounting issues.
