Job description
This is an exciting new role in the FX Risk and Regulation team which will be used to help shape the operational risk and resilience landscape within FX. You will work alongside various FX teams to provide analysis, support expertise and oversee all areas of the FX organisation to ensure that all elements of operational resilience requirements (Business Continuity and Important Business Services) are delivered in line with regulatory and internal policy expectations.
Reporting to the FX Business Risk Officer, the FX Risk and Resilience Manager will support the delivery of the Operational Resiliency agenda, and specifically support the ongoing development of the Operational Resilience framework and standards / controls to ensure a consistent approach to execution across FX. This role will be required to provide their operational resilience expertise to help evolve and mature the framework, develop and embed governance requirements for Operational Resilience and contribute to the creation and implementation of FX operational resilience reporting capabilities.
The role may also be responsible for oversight and ensured delivery of other key risk reduction strategic objectives and projects within FX.
Enter The Key Responsibilities Of The Role - Lead with the design, organisation and closure of scenario tests (bring in emerging risk assessments as well).
- Design relevant scenario tests within FX responding to emerging risk analysis and plausible operational issues.
- Organise and run the scenario sessions.
- Prepare a report outlining Findings/Vulnerabilities. Agree actions with relevant owners, and upload to Metricstream.
- Maintain vulnerability assessments
- Review all scenario outputs and issues/risk events to all vulnerabilities are identified, assessed, logged and actions to remediate agreed.
- Lead the annual self-assessment for compliance with the resilience framework
- Producing an annual assessment of FX's compliance with the Policy and Framework.
- Lead in re-validating the IBSs, RTOs, and ITOLs
- Summary of vulnerability assessments and actions taken/needed
- Monitor training requirements
- Ensure all FX staff complete mandatory resilience training
- Lead on assessing impact to data in Blueworks and Lean IX when a dimension change occurs.
- Assisting the FX business in drafting and maintaining risk acceptances, including to help coordinate any remediation efforts
- Provide oversight on Impact to RTOs and ITOLs during an incident.
- Assisting the business with drafting and co-ordination of risk event remediation
- Assisting the business with Group, Divisional and Business Unit level Policy governance
- Assisting the business with drafting and maintaining regulated entity documentation
Experience Enter the essential experience and skills required:
- Operational Resilience practitioner with relevant 1LOD experience
- Well-rounded understanding of Operational Risk and what this means for FX
- Working knowledge of Third-Party Risk (and ideally related to Operational Resilience)
- Experience of resilience considerations and across Technology, Third parties and Data
- Experience in managing governance and reporting requirements and cadence related activities
- Strong understanding of how resilience can support customers and delivery of the Group's objectives
Skills - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
- Strong analytical problem solving skills, with the ability to prioritise what matters
- Flexible work approach and able to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office products, knowledge of Power BI, LeaniX and IBM Blue Works is desirable
- Good knowledge of the FX products preferable
