Job description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles, experience in design software, and the ability to work on a variety of projects from concept to completion. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating electrical system designs, conducting analyses, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical systems for various projects, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) Perform calculations for load analysis, voltage drop, short circuit, and coordination studies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for electrical installations Review and interpret technical specifications, codes, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC) Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met Conduct site visits and inspections to assess electrical systems and troubleshoot issues Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred 3+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) Experience with electrical analysis tools such as ETAP or SKM PowerTools Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC) Familiarity with building systems and MEP coordination Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication skills to work in a team environment and interface with clients Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously ī GFC drawing.
